People Directory and My Board

The People Directory is your organization's registry of citizen developers. Import people from CSV, track their lifecycle, assign maker tiers, and link members to their assets. My Board gives each team member a personal view of their own portfolio.

Key Concepts

• Directory entry: A person record with name, email, department, job title, team, and manager. Created via CSV import, API sync, or manual addition.
• Auto-linking: Velnoro automatically matches team members (Velnoro users) to directory entries by email address.
• Maker tier: A classification for citizen developers: Explorer (learning), Builder (proficient), or Champion (expert). Assigned manually per person.
• Lifecycle status: Active or Inactive. Inactive people can have a deactivation reason (e.g., left organization, role changed).
• Import modes:
  • Merge - adds new people and updates existing ones by email. Never deactivates anyone.
  • Full Sync - same as merge, plus marks people not in the CSV as inactive.
